Escabeche is a 'pickle sauce' - but not like you may be thinking. It's oil, vinegar, spices - savory with a nice brightness from the vinegar, not like pickled fish (not that there's anything wrong with pickled fish, but if that's not your thing, don't rule out escabeche). These muscles are a nice size (not nearly the size on the box, sorry)  with a 12/16 ration in the box. They're fried before being enrobed in the classic escabeche sauce. Really yummy and a good price for value.
