16/20 mussels per tin, this is a top-shelf example of conservas. We love this tin so much and constantly return to it and are surprised by how good it is. The sauce is an escabeche sauce, or 'pickled sauce' - this is not heavily pickled, but rather a nice hit of vinegar along with oil and spices. The mussels are fried prior to preserving and retain a lovely texture. Side-note, this tin singlehandedly has turned many of our staff into tinned fish lovers.  It's that good.
