This is exactly what it says it is - crushed hot peppers in olive oil. But don't think this isn't interesting. There's a smokey, spicy element here unlike anything we've tasted. Folks who have tried it ask if there's something else in it - garlic? roasted tomatoes? Nope. Leave it to the Italins to take three ingredients an make it taste like ten.
Note - this is SPICY - but also savory and fun. go very light if you're not super into spicy food, or layer it on heavy. How do we use it? Add a dash to your next pasta dish, soups, or we like it just spread on bread with our tinned seafood items.
